JENNY STULBERG is a dance artist, filmmaker, and fitness professional based in San Francisco. Recent performances include works by Hope Mohr Dance, Xandra Ibarra/La Chica Boom, Christine Cali/CALI & CO., and her ongoing collaborative series of Still Life Dances with creative partner Lauren Simpson. Simpson/Stulberg Collaborations has been the recipient of Zellerbach, CA$H Grant, and the Rainin Opportunity Fund. They were also chosen to be the Fall 2015 Resident Choreographers for local dance company FACT/SF. Jenny is privileged to have worked with other great artists such as choreographers Kate Weare, Sydney Skybetter, and composer Mike Wall to name a few.
Jenny's solo choreography has been commissioned by the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program and she has taught on the dance faculties of AMDA Los Angeles, Santa Rosa Junior College, and Santa Rosa High School. Jenny's dance-films have been accepted into festivals across the country, including San Francisco Dance Film Festival, ADF International Screendance Festival, ENCORE: Dance on Film, in addition to Tiny Dance Film Festival and Dance Camera West, both two years in a row. Her film-work has also been contracted by major companies in New York and California such as Joe Goode Performance Group, FinerFilms, BANDALOOP, Scott Wells & Dancers, Ellis Wood Dance, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, and New York City Ballet, as well as film collaborations with Paul Galando and Kerry Laitala.
She received her M.F.A. in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a specialization in Choreography/Performance and Dance on Film, and B.F.A. in Dance from Western Michigan University. Jenny has also studied at the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking and is currently the Production Manager for the West Coast Branch of Double Tour Media.
